An 18-year-old full-back who has come through City’s Academy, Aluko joined Jake Evans in being included in a senior matchday squad for the first time at Brighton & Hove Albion on 12 April, 2025. First handed a chance to be involved in the Under-18s at the back end of the 2022/23 season, Aluko’s involvement in the Development Squad during the following campaign was a sign of his growing reputation as an emerging talent, making his Under-21s debut against senior opposition in the EFL Trophy, facing League 1 Wigan Athletic. Handed the armband to captain the Under-18s in October 2024, having scored on the opening day of the U18 Premier League South season, his main source of minutes in 2024/25 came through playing on either side of the Under-21s’ defence with performances that led to a call-up into the First Team squad.
